Dingo definition: The dingo is a medium-sized canine that possesses a lean, hardy body adapted for speed, agility, and stamina. 

 

The Dingo is our new performance hybrid groveler that was developed with Dean (Dingo) Petty! Dean has a hybrid approach between speed, flow and power that really suits Twin Fins. Because of that, we have made some banger twin fin models. Even though the twinnys are where Dean’s heart stays, he still wanted a different feel to switch it up here and there. The Dingo was our perfect mix of a wider fish-like front half merged with the tail of our popular Speedworld shortboard model. It has a relatively flat rocker with a single to double to spiral Vee bottom. The spiral Vee like our Speedworld is extended slightly farther than the normal shortboard. This gives the board lots of maneuverability while keeping a low rocker for lots of planning speed. The board comes set up as a clustered thruster. This means the front fins are shifted back slightly and the rear fin is shifted forward slightly. This gives the board excellent drive and hold while maintaining a free release at the end of your turns. Unintentionally, it also made this fin configuration great as a twin + trailer.

Fin Set Up

Dean has been surfing his Dingo almost exclusively as a twin + trailer and I have been 50-50. It works great as a standard thruster on days with some size or solid punch, and its super fun and lively as a twin + trailer if the waves are sloppy or smaller. These fin options make it a great versatile little board.
