“Expect a wild ride, as this shortboard is made for fun” is how team rider, Aaron Black, describes his new signature model. When Aaron stepped into the bay, our goal was to create a board that surfed in the pocket like our popular model, The Howler but caught waves like the SMW. We took the Howler tail template and widened it by about an inch and added some more foam and width in the nose like the SMW. What we got was a small wave ripper that was exceptional in waves ranging from knee to chest high. On our team trip to the East Coast, Aaron discovered this was also a really ideal air board as he was attempting to master the rodeo air maneuver almost the whole trip.
